Staffs of Nursing homes are in shortage at night, each staff is responsible for an average of up to 15 residents. When a fire emergency happens, they cannot disperse immediately. In particular, residents can’t move on their own, which often causes heavy casualties. When the fire cannot be extinguished, the staffs need to take the patient out of the room to a relatively safe corridor in a short time and remembered to close the door to block the spread of smoke, so they can wait for support, taking the patient to the refuge area or leave the building.
AIRUSH provides a new type of stretcher lifesaving design. The storage box is placed on the footboard of the bed and can be quickly pulled out when a fire occurs. It can be inflated and installed on patients while they’re lying on the bed, and drag them to the ground just in 30 seconds. It makes the process convenient and safe while transferring, striving for evacuation time, continuing having protection for the resettlement operations in the later period of evacuation. Different from the previous hardware escape equipment, such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, AIRUSH can be squeezed and deformed with space, smooth the rescue process, and maximize the rescue efficiency.
